While there aren’t many aviation filmmakers, plenty of reasons for this:
1.) High Costs and Technical Film Challenges: Filmmaking, in general, can be expensive, but aviation filmmaking often involves even higher costs due to the need for aircraft. Capturing aerial shots and coordinating aviation-related scenes can be also be technically challenging.
2.) Niche Audience: Aviation-themed films might have a more limited target audience compared to mainstream genres, which can impact the potential commercial success of such projects.
3.) Technical Expertise: Creating realistic aviation scenes requires technical expertise in visual cinematography and post-production.
4.) Limited Funding Distribution: Financing aviation films can be super challenging, specially if potential investors or studios are concerned about the niche appeal.
So their isn’t many aviation filmmakers unfortunately because of these reason; but full heartily I wanna change the trend and continue pushing aviation cinematography/filmmaking well into the future. Through airline, general aviation, movie making, storytelling, and cinematography; we have full access continue changing and impacting lives in aviation through film.
For example; @tuckerhessprod has pushed the next level cinematography in the airshow industry. Through incredible storytelling and visual effects; they have helped create success for @pacificairshow.
It’s incredible to see the level of storytelling impact that can be done in aviation. It’s a must and need to showcase these incredible stories now more than ever.
